Closures and wrecks first. Tap a card to center it on the map.

Live data: Georgia 511 / Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), refreshed every few minutes. Coverage is the I-75 corridor from the Florida line up toward Tifton, centered on Valdosta.

📱 Put Traffic Watch on your phone

Traffic Watch works like a regular app — its own icon on your home screen, and push notifications the moment a wreck or closure hits I-75. Free, nothing to download from an app store.

 iPhone & iPad

  1. Open traffic.riktom.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with the up arrow, bottom of the screen).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  4. Open Traffic Watch from your home screen (this step matters — notifications only work from the home-screen app).
  5. Come back to this section and tap Turn on notifications, then Allow.

Requires iOS 16.4 or newer. If you don't see "Add to Home Screen," make sure you're in Safari, not another browser or an in-app browser.

🤖 Android

  1. Open traffic.riktom.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap Turn on notifications below and choose Allow — that's it, alerts work right away.
  3. Optional: tap the menu → Add to Home screen (or "Install app") for the full app experience.

Works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Samsung Internet. Also works on desktop browsers.

Notifications are per-device and only fire for wrecks and full closures on the interstate — the same low-noise rule as the email alerts. Turn them off anytime in your phone's notification settings, or by tapping the button again.

Common questions

Is I-75 closed near Valdosta right now?

If it is, it'll be at the top of the list above, marked Full closure. This page pulls live I-75 incidents from Georgia 511 (GDOT) every few minutes. Always double-check with 511ga.org or dial 511 before you travel.

How do the free email alerts work?

Enter your email and click the confirmation link we send. After that you'll get one email whenever a new full closure or wreck blocks an interstate in the coverage area. Every alert has a one-click unsubscribe link, and we never share your address.

Why don't I see small fender-benders or side roads?

The map shows what Georgia 511 reports in the I-75 / Valdosta area, which focuses on interstates and major state routes. Email alerts are intentionally limited to closures and wrecks on the interstate so your inbox only pings for the stuff that actually reroutes your drive.

Where does the data come from?

Georgia 511, GDOT's official real-time traffic system. It can lag real conditions by a few minutes, so treat it as a heads-up, not gospel.

Can I get this as an app with push notifications?

Yes. On iPhone: open this site in Safari → ShareAdd to Home Screen, then open Traffic Watch from your home screen and tap Turn on notifications (iOS 16.4+). On Android: just tap Turn on notifications in Chrome. Full steps are in the Put Traffic Watch on your phone section above.
